Clean Out The Old Inbox!
Posted on August 26, 2010 · Leave a CommentI should really follow my own advice, every few months, I harp on you to clean up your online presence, but it seems that I am just as guilty as any of my readers as having an overabundance of stuff. You see, right now, in my work email, I have 75 unread messages. In my personal email, over 1000. How many blogs do I subscribe to in my Google Reader? 79, that’s right 79 do I actively read these everyday so that the number of unread posts is ever under 1000? Are you kidding.
So, let’s make a pact here and now readers of the Alexan Downtown Littleton blog, we will treat our inboxes like our apartments. Which hopefully, we declutter on a regular basis.
The first step: Admitting you have a problem, go and count your unreads.
Email: How many times do you actually read any of the newsletters that your name is on? If you haven’t read in a week. Delete, but first unsubscribe. And while we are on the subject when you enter in your email to someplace new, make sure you aren’t signing up for any more newsletters.
Other Computer Stuff. If you can’t catch up in a day, if you have missed 2 day, unsubscribe. Seriously.
Don’t forget that Alexan Downtown Littleton has a free cybercafe with Wi-fi.

A Revolution in Laundry.
Posted on August 24, 2010 · Leave a CommentI don’t know about you, but I hate doing laundry. I mean really hate doing laundry. But I have found a few tips and products that have made this daunting task slightly better. Please feel free to use any of these tips in your Alexan Downtown Littleton Machines.
1. Sorting: I have purchased a hamper with three separate containers. I use on for lights, one for darks and one for jeans and towels. I also purchased an expensive collapsible one for dry clean only clothes. This system has worked pretty well for me.
2. Prewash and Detergent: I have found at least for me that I really like how my clothes look when I use the Tide Stain Release In-Wash Booster . I like the liquid and no, Tide is not paying me to say this, although it would be nice. I have also recently found dropps. These little packs of highly concentrated detergent get dropped in your machine. I like the scent and dye free ones, but that is just me.
3. Fabric Steamer: I like this soooo much better than using an iron to get the wrinkles out of my clothes. But that is maybe just me.
4. This is the big one: Put your clothes away immediately. Seriously, just do it.

The Love List: Be Careful What You Wish For
Posted on August 18, 2010 · Leave a CommentHave you heard the buzz around Littleton about The Love List. It is the play by Norm Foster about 2 men who craft a list of what they think the “Perfect” woman should have.
Typical, of course when she shows up, the realize that thy left a few key attributes off the list. The play is supposed to be really funny, but is for mature audiences only. The show stars Michael Sanders, Michael Ingram and Missy Moore.
It is currently playing at the Town Hall Arts Center, but ends on August 22.

Best Action Flick Ever?
Posted on August 11, 2010 · Leave a CommentHave you been thinking to yourself, where have all the good action hero’s gone? Well, don’t fret my violence in film loving friends, they may have just returned. Coming out on Friday is The Expendables comes out. Written, Directed and Starring Sylvester Stallone, can you get more action packed than that?
Why yes, you can, because joining him is some big action heavyweights, like Willis, Rouke, Li, and Statham. Not to mention a certain action star that we have all missed seeing on the big screen.
The plot is simple enough, mercenaries go to South America where they are hired to kill a dictator. Things don’t go as planned, insanity ensues.

Taste of New Orleans in Littleton
Posted on August 4, 2010 · Leave a CommentLouisiana is known for its food. Especially the great city of New Orleans which is known for its food throughout the world. If you can’t make the trek, you can try a taste of New Orleans right her in Littleton! At NoNo’s cafe on West County Line Rd.
Opened up in 1996 by New Orleans Native’s Sonda & Brian, the restaurant is a quaint little taste of New Orleans. My favorite thing on the menu is Crabmeat Au Gratin and the Macaroni and Cheese. Both dishes have the perfect amount of cheese which is a ton!
NoNo’s is also open for breakfast. The Strawberry French Toast is to die for!
